You are magnificent and so your friends should be too!

It wasn’t long ago I put a call out to ask people what questions they would like answered.

My fabulous Moxxi co – founder Gemma responded promptly asking me why I am so awesome and what I loved about her.

Now I understand this was a tongue in cheek question, which she was probably giggling at when she wrote… but it made me think, really hard.

I talk a LOT about the importance of loving who you are and what you offer as well as surrounding yourself with incredible people.

So I decided to answer both those questions, seriously.

In the video I talk about my mad floor cleaning skills and Gemma’s ability to tell me off without offending me (which I love), but this video is really more about us women in general.

There are so many times I have to stop in a day and tell myself that it’s all going to be ok. I’m actually doing well and I have to stop comparing myself to the things other people choose to show me.

I’m pretty open but there are still days I don’t want to post or take a photo, when I feel unhealthy, unhappy and unsuccessful. When I have to stare ideas in the face and realise I never took the steps to go get them.

And it’s on me.

Those are the moments when I MUST take a few moments to look at the opposite end of the scale, not just at my achievements but even more so who I am as a person, as a woman, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a partner.

These are the things that matter to me.

And I must ask the same questions of the people I choose to surround myself with.

I expect them to bring something to my life, courage to ask better of me, skills I can look up to, an energy that feeds me and a desire for good.

These things are so important because as women we seem to hang on to friendships that aren’t going anywhere because they meant something to us once. I get it, I’ve done it, but it’s unhealthy.

They must bring something to your life as you must bring something to theirs. If you roll your eye’s when they ring and try to think of a reason why you can’t see them this weekend, then it’s time to let that one go!

You are awesome.

Surround yourself with awesome people and your life will get richer very quickly.

Be courageous…
Lauren
